We’re getting married in the largest (yet incredibly small) city in the Champagne region, Reims - less than 30 minutes from Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG), the main airport in Paris. Direct flights on all major airlines arrive all day, everyday, from most cities around the world. Once you’ve arrived, simply hop on the TGV at the CDG station (no need to leave the airport!) or pick up your rental car and drive through the beautiful French countryside. Feel free to ask us for further details if you are traveling from another airport or city.
RAIL
Note: TGV tickets are ON SALE NOW! If you are arriving from Paris and will be traveling on the train, you can book via SNCF-Connect. Depending on your origin:
-Choose the DIRECT train that is 46 minutes in duration from Gare de l’Est in central Paris.
or
-Choose the DIRECT train that is 29-33 minutes in duration from Charles de Gaulle airport.
-You will be arriving at Champagne-Ardenne TGV station.
then
8 min Uber to your lodging in Reims.PRO TIP: Sometimes 1st class is cheaper than 2nd, depending on when you book.
ROAD
Rental cars and drivers can be arranged ahead of time at either airport (Charles de Gaulle or Orly), or from the city center. Ask us if you have questions about this option!
COVID-19 & Other Considerations
As I am writing this on June 6th, borders are fairly open and requirements have been greatly relaxed - full vaccination is all that is required for entry. As we all know, rules are subject to change at any point. Please see the most up to date information from the French government regarding entry at their website.
AMERICANS: Effective Monday, June 13th 2022, a negative test for COVID-19 is no longer required to return to the US. YAY! See the most up-to-date information on the CDC website.
